About Us

Who We Are
Craneworks was established to serve the U.S. Navy’s crane and weight handling programs with a simple mission: to deliver high-quality inspection, maintenance, and repair services supported by complete, accurate documentation. From the beginning, Craneworks has stood for technical integrity, safety, and compliance—values that remain the foundation of our work today.
What began as a regional service provider has grown into a nationally recognized leader in crane inspection, maintenance, and overhaul. Headquartered in Virginia, Craneworks supports Department of Defense, aerospace, and industrial customers across the United States. Our expertise spans overhead and mobile cranes, complex lifting systems, and material handling equipment operating in some of the nation’s most demanding environments.
Craneworks is known for delivering high-compliance, mission-ready crane systems that directly support readiness and safety across the defense industrial base. Our team brings unmatched technical capability and professionalism to every project—from precision inspections and load testing to engineering evaluations and full-system modernizations.

The People Behind the Work
The Craneworks team operates more like a specialized task force than a large contractor. We are highly trained, mission-focused, and deeply experienced. We field AWS-certified welders, NDT Level II and III inspectors, and NCCCO-certified crane professionals. With certified CDL drivers and in-house logistics, we can deploy personnel and test equipment wherever the mission requires. Craneworks also partners with leading U.S. manufacturers including Columbus McKinnon, Acco-Wright, Magnetek, Duct-O-Wire, Nidec, Gantrex, and TC/American to design and deliver crane systems that meet the most stringent DoD and industry standards.

What Drives Us Forward
As Craneworks looks to the future, we are expanding our reach in overhead and mobile crane services while partnering with base operations support contractors, general contractors, and A&E firms on new facility and modernization projects. Our goal remains the same as it has always been: to deliver technically compliant, reliable, and mission-ready cranes that support the people and programs driving U.S. defense readiness.
High-Compliance Cranes. Mission Ready.
