FAQ

Do you sell or manufacture mobile cranes?

No. We don’t sell or build mobile cranes. Instead, we act as a trusted advisor — helping you choose the right crane for your mission and ensuring you have a sustainable inspection and maintenance program once it’s in service.

What does your mobile crane consultation service include?

We guide customers through the selection of equipment, implementation of programs, and navigation of vendors. This involves helping you select the ideal crane model and capacity, developing a comprehensive maintenance and inspection strategy, and identifying the most suitable dealers or vendors to support your equipment.

Why should I use Craneworks for consultation if you don’t sell cranes?

As an independent company, our recommendations are unbiased. We’re not tied to a single brand or sales quota — our goal is to make sure you get the crane that fits your needs, and that it can be kept mission-ready for years to come.

Can you help me select the right mobile crane for military applications?

Yes. We regularly support DOD organizations in evaluating deployable mobile lifting solutions — whether that’s a full-scale mobile crane or a truck-mounted knuckle boom crane. We match operational needs to equipment capabilities.

Can you help me compare in-house maintenance versus vendor support?

Absolutely. We can model the costs and resource requirements of running your own maintenance program versus outsourcing to a vendor. This helps you make an informed decision on the most cost-effective approach.

Do you work with local dealers, or do you deal directly with manufacturers?

Both. If your fleet is predominantly comprised of one brand, we recommend contacting the dealer directly. However, we also know when dealers subcontract work back to us — so we can provide you with an honest picture of who services your equipment.
